Nothing much changes in terms of the look of this truck as the 1412g LPT shared the Tata Motors famous LPT cabin and body known for decades in India. The 13,850 kg gross vehicle weight category ICV cargo is available in cabin and body, closed body, fixed side deck, high side deck, container and Reefer applications for short to medium distance trips. 

It gets the segment's safest, highly enhanced all-steel cabin strongly built for comfort and driver safety. For wider customer appeal and several applications, 1412g LPT is now available 4200 mm and 4830 mm wheelbases with deck lengths of 20ft and 22ft. The 8.25 R 20- 16PR tyres are robust sidewall which provides sufficient lateral holding power with wider tread surface. The enhanced high-speed stability and less rolling resistance help in better fuel economy and superior tyre mileage. The fuel tanks sizes are 396L & 486L water capacities. 

Interior

To handle this large truck well and overall comfortable user experience, the 141g2 LPT gets a tilt and telescopic steering for easy manoeuvrability in narrow lanes and the best driving position. Also, a four-spoke soft-touch steering wheel for superior driving comfort. For a pleasant driving experience, this truck needs less gear shifting and clutching efforts, and parabolic suspension at front for better driving comfort. 

To make the cabin further desirable, which comes with a day cabin with D+1 seating configuration, seat adjustment in XZ direction for lesser driver fatigue. For overall comfortable seating during long drives, the seats are Melba fabric for comfort both in summer and winter. A multi-functional modern instrument cluster with features like gear shift advisor, driver message screen, average fuel economy, and tell Tale Symbols. The display trip indicated trip A & B, along with DEF gauge, fuel gauge, oil pressure gauge, distance to empty, malfunction indication lamp, and screen navigation, etc. Furthermore, a new dashboard fitted with a music system with high-quality Blaupunkt speaker, high-speed USB charger, and manual regeneration switch.

It produces 123hp of power at a maximum torque of 420 Nm and tuned to Tata's GBS 40 5-speed gearbox. The powertrain is supported by highly optimized aggregates such as Tata's in-house rear axle 1009R fully floating banjo type; the 330 mm clutch is a single plate dry friction type. At the front a parabolic leaf spring suspension with hydraulic double acting telescopic shock absorbers and the semi-elliptical leaf spring in the rear. The brakes are dual circuit full air S cam-type, auto slack adjuster drum type with ABS. The ground clearance is 225mm and for steep climbing of highways or rural roads the gradeability is 25%.
