The Tata 1512g LPT gets the same engine as the other new generation ICV trucks from the brand. It is powered by a 3.8 SGI TC BS6 4 Cylinder Engine that comes with SGI Technology with Skip Fire Mode for Higher Mileage. The engine can make 125 hp at 2250 RPM and 420 Nm of torque between 1400-1600 RPM. It comes with a single plate dry friction type clutch and a GB 40 Gearbox (5F, 1R) along with the TATA RA 108RR Fully Floating Benjo Axle.

The Tata 1512g LPT is a truck built for Indian roads with a ground clearance of 225 mm and gradeability at 25%. The GVW of the vehicle is 16020 kgs. The vehicle comes with a day cabin in two variants (cab with chassis and cab with load body) with fixed side deck or high side deck options and two body lengths of 20 and 22 ft with 4200mm and 4830 mm wheelbases respectively. The dimensions of the vehicle are 6096 x 2286 x 1834 mm or 6795 x 2286 x 1834 mm for the 20 and 22 fr variants respectively.

The truck gets a 330 mm dia clutch with clutch booster and has a gradeability rated at 21.8%.

The top speed of the truck is rated at 80 km/h and the truck has a fuel tank capacity of 160 litres with an

Ad Blue tank capacity of 25 litres.

Safety

The Tata 1512g LPT comes with a comprehensive safety package with air brakes with ABS and auto slack adjuster as standard along with Graduated valve controlled spring brakes acting on rear axle for parking brakes. The truck also gets a standard anti-roll bar, exhaust brakes, seat belts and reverse parking buzzers.
