Key Specs of Maruti Suzuki Super Carry
January 7, 2020: Maruti Suzuki India’s largest passenger car makers entered the fast-growing mini-truck segment in 2016 with its single product-the Super Carry. The company took a selective approach in launching the product in a few states at a time and gradually expanding into pan India with separate commercial vehicle dealerships. The deeper understanding of the Indian customers and the insights of market dynamics has helped Maruti Suzuki to develop the right product for last-mile transportation.
Three years later, the company’s efforts paid off handsomely, as Super Carry has gained traction with month-on-month sales growth. The mini-truck segment dominated by Tata Motors and followed by Mahindra & Mahindra with intense competition, Super Carry has been able to carve a niche for itself. Maruti Suzuki has able to grab more than 10% market share in the mini-truck category with a superior product. The company then slowly expanded the Super Carry with CNG, petrol, and cab chassis variants.
The Super carry comes with a modern and powerful 2-cylinder turbo-charged 793 cc diesel engine and 1200 cc CNG and multi-point fuel injection G12B BS-IV petrol engine variant too. Maruti Suzuki has promised a comfortable cabin, safety, and convenience for Super Carry owners. The key aggregates including suspension, gearbox, and chassis are of superior quality, and the customers seem to like the product, despite market under pressure, Super Carry sales continue to grow.
