Piaggio introduces all electric cargo and passenger 3W range

Staking a big claim in the rapidly changing last-mile transportation in India, the company bring in a range of fixed battery electric 3 wheeler in cargo and passenger segments that are powered by modern lithium-Ion smart- batteries, packed with power and features.

Making a big bet on the electric last-mile transportation in India and strengthening its position by taking leads with new product introduction, Piaggio Vehicles today launched its FX range (fixed battery) of electric vehicles in both the cargo and passenger segments. 

The new Ape E-Xtra FX range comes with a powerful electric cargo in the segment with 9.5 Kw power output. This e-auto gets a proven full metal body architecture with a sizable 6 ft cargo deck length. It is also customizable for applications like the delivery van, garbage collector etc. The passenger vehicle, Ape E-City FX is an affordable truck that promises higher revenues with its best features and comfortable ride. Piaggio already retails its full-electric passenger Ape E City in certain markets. Some of the popular 3W that the company sells in India include the Ape City and Ape DX in the passenger carrier segment and Ape Xtra LDX in the cargo carrier segments.  

Packed with Features

The FX ragne of passenger and cargo e-autos are offered with top of the range features like blue vision headlamps, automatic transmission, hill hold assist, regenerative braking, dual-tone seats, striking body colours and graphics, multi-information instrument cluster, boost mode etc. The FX fixed battery range offers convenient to home and office charging features.

Piaggio is targeting the Ape E-Xtra FX is for some of the most popular applications in India. The cargo e-auto offers higher power and versatile cargo which best suits applications such as e-commerce, gas cylinders, mineral water bottles, FMCG, Vegetables, Garbage collection and a host of others. With a running cost of less than 50 paise, it is the most economical mode of last-mile goods movement. 

Whilst, the Ape E- City passenger carrier is a comfortable last mile people transportation with low noise, vibration and harshness levels, making it quite enjoyable for short to medium trips in the city or the outskirts. Ape’ E-Xtra comes with a 6 feet cargo deck and a delivery van option for customized applications. 

To make sure the customer gets a peaceful ownership experience these e-autos are offered with 3 year/1 lakh kilometre super warranty. Furthermore, the customer gets 3 years of free maintenance package as an introductory offer. The Piaggio I-Connect telematics solution offers real-time vehicle data tracking for our customers and PVPL service initiatives. 

Subsidy & Special Price

Ape’ Electrik FX range is eligible for the FAME II subsidy and various other benefits related to the registration process. Ape’ E-Xtra FX comes with an introductory ex-showroom price of Rs. 3,12,137 and Ape’ E-City FX comes with an introductory ex-showroom price of Rs. 2,83,878 post-fame II subsidy benefit.
