Ashok Leyland has inaugurated its new dealership in Chhindwara for light commercial vehicles. With this 3S (sales, service, and spares) dealership outlet, it becomes the 8th LCV dealership in Madhya Pradesh.

With 3 variants – i2, i3+, and i4, the newly released Bada Dost is the first product to be built on an entirely new and powerful LCV platform. Its i4 variant has a 1.5 litre, 3-cylinder BS6 diesel engine to produce 80 hp and 190 Nm at around 1600-2400 rpm. 

Its i2 variant offers a 1425 kg payload capacity while the i4 variant offers an 1825 kg loading capacity, enabling the customer to make more money per trip. The Bada Dost model comes at Rs 10.2 lakh for the i4 and i3+ variants and Rs 9.02 lakh for the i2 variant.

It has a 40-litre fuel tank capacity to ensure minimal stoppages for refuelling the tank. The model is available at a competitive price starting from Rs 7.85 lakh.

Equipped with a 1478 cc 3-cylinder BS6 diesel engine, the Dost+ is capable of producing 70 hp at 3300 rpm and 170 Nm at around 1600-2400 rpm. Featuring double-acting shock absorbers at the front and rear, it has rigid suspension with parabolic leaf springs at the front and semi-elliptical leaf springs at the rear for jerk-free rides.

Ashok Leyland Partner 4 Tyre

As the name suggests this commercial vehicle is outfitted with 4 tyres to ensure seamless cargo transportation. It is offered in 3 different variants – CBC (cowl body chassis), FSD (full-side deck), and HSD (high-side deck). This is powered by a ZD30 diesel BS6 engine which delivers 140 hp at 2750 rpm and 360 Nm at 1350-2750 rpm.      

The Ashok Leyland Partner 4 Tyre provides two choices of GVW – 6250 kg and 7200 kg – to offer a payload capacity of 3760 kg and 4565 kg respectively. Its power steering makes it smooth to navigate through tight spaces and rough driving conditions. It is available at an ex-showroom price starting from Rs 13.45 lakh to Rs 14.67 lakh.

Ashok Leyland Partner 6 Tyre

Similar to the Partner 4 Tyre cargo vehicle, the Ashok Leyland Partner 6 Tyre truck is incorporated with a ZD30 turbocharged intercooled diesel engine with a double overhead camshaft. Its engine delivers 140 hp and 360 Nm, improving the pickup capability.

The Partner 6 Tyre is a 7.49-tonne GVW truck which has a 4885 kg payload capacity. With a wheelbase of 2510 mm, it gets a rigid body of 3415 mm in length, 2060 mm in width, and 1840 mm in height.
