Thus, the Mahindra Supro Maxitruck gets a maximum permissible GVW of 2115kg and a kerb weight of 1115kg while the maximum legal payload rating is set at 1000kg. It is offered with a D+1 day cabin that gets power steering as standard while the braking duties are taken care by Vacuum-Assisted Hydraulic type brake along with Disc at front and drum at the rear.
Powering the Mahindra Supro Maxitruck is a twin-cylinder 909cc BSIV compliant Mahindra Direct Injection Diesel Engine. This engine produces a maximum power output of a commendable 45bhp made at 3750rpm while you get an impressive peak torque of 98Nm arriving in the low 1600-3000rpm range. The transmission duties are taken care by a Mahindra 5R98M 5-Speed manual gearbox mated to a durable Single Plate Dry Friction Diaphragm type clutch. It has a 33-liter fuel tank.

Among many small commercial vehicles available in Mahindra’s fleet of mini and pick-up trucks, Supro Maxitruck is the latest addition made a couple of months ago after Jeeto. The company looks to conquer the falling apart LCV market in India with this new vehicle and has been able to done quite well in the meantime.

Engine and Performance
Powered by 909 cc Direct Injection Diesel engine, Supro Maxitruck is able to belt out decent enough power of 45 hp @ 3,750 rpm and impressive peak torque of 98 Nm @ 1,600 - 3,000 rpm. The range of torque is quite handy for different terrains with different loads.
Also, the 5-Speed gear transmission box and Single Plate Dry Friction Diaphragm type clutch make it able to hit top speed quite smoothly and generate enough gradeability to climb all possible steeps in India.
Vehicle Built and Load capacity
The 2,050 mm is the only wheelbase option Supro Maxitruck is available in along with three variants namely T2, T4 and T6. These variants come with same cargo box dimensions of 2,500 x 1,540 x 33 mm for Length x Width x Height mm, but with different Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) of 2,065 kg, 2,070 kg and 2,090 kg for T2, T4 and T6 variants, respectively.
Although all the 3 variants have same payload capacity of 1000 kg, but different kerb weight of 1,065 kg, 1,070 kg and 1,090 kg, respectively for T2, T4 and T6 version.
Handling and Suspension
With power steering available in T4 (Optional) and T6 version and manual steering in T2, driver finds Supro Maxitruck quite comfortable to maneuver irrespective of the terrain or the weight laden. Its relatively small turning radius of 4,700 mm also helps in dodging sharp turns and narrow lanes. For suspension, there are McPherson Strut with Coil Springs at front and Leaf springs at rear to offer bump free drive on not-so-driver-friendly rural Indian roads.
Braking and Safety
The Vacuum Assisted Hydraulic type brakes with Automatic Wear Adjuster along with Disc at front and Drum at rear, Supro Maxitruck driver feel poised to stop this mini vehicle under all given circumstances.
More safety percentage has been increased in Supro Maxitruck by offering features like ELR seat belts, Dual LSPV brakes for better stability, front nose design to negotiate with collision, Mahindra’s durable and tough frame design practice, crash tested cabin and lab tested material to build the whole body.
Design and Comfort
Talking about aesthetics, Supro Maxitruck is based on next generation design theory by the company has many eye-catchy points like Mahindra’s famous front grille, body colored bumper and door handles, attractive decals, new wrap around headlamps and 3 metallic colors namely metallic red, deep warm blue and diamond white.
Inside, the comfort is described as car-like with features like cozy and fatigued free seats, floor console with bottle holder, floor carpet, magazine holder, new style instrument panel, built in cluster clock, mobile charging facility, driver headrest, dual tone interiors, AC, spacious cabin and glove box.
