Mahindra Witnesses A Significant Domestic Sales Growth Of 77 Percent YoY In June 2024 In MHCV & Heavier LCV Segment

Mahindra released its commercial vehicle sales report for June 2024. This showed a remarkable sales growth of 77 percent in the domestic market in the MHCV and LCV (weighing more than 3.5 tonnes).

On July 1, 2024, Mahindra & Mahindra, one of the Indian pioneers in the commercial vehicle industry, announced the sales growth trajectory for the month of June 2024. Its commercial vehicle sales report recorded the sales data for light commercial vehicles (LCVs), medium and heavy commercial vehicles (MHCVs), and 3-wheelers.  

According to the commercial vehicle sales report in June 2024, Mahindra reported positive sales growth in LCVs weighing less than 2 tonnes, LCVs weighing more than 3.5 tonnes and MHCVs. However, the 3-wheelers and LCVs weighing between 2 tonnes and 3.5 tonnes witnessed a sales decline in June 2024 as compared to June 2023.

Insights Of Mahindra CV Sales Report June 2024

Mahindra & Mahindra recorded a significant sales growth of 77 percent in the category of LCV with more than 3.5 tonnes GVW (gross vehicle weight) and MHCV. Under this category, 3274 units were sold in June 2024 in India as compared to 1854 units in June 2023. 

Under the category of LCV with GVW lesser than 2 tonnes, the company sold 3223 units in the last month of this financial year 2025 which is a 5 percent increase as compared to 3063 units sold in June 2023. 

But the LCV category, having a GVW range between 2000 kg and 3500 kg, observed a 12 percent decline in sales for June 2024. The 14097 units were sold in this category which is a 12 percent decrease as compared to 16042 units sold in June in financial year 2024.  

As for 3-wheelers including electric 3-wheelers, Mahindra showed a slight sales decline of 3 percent after selling 6184 units in June 2024 in comparison to 6377 units in June 2023. Mahindra & Mahindra reported a slight sales growth of 4 percent in the export market after selling 2597 units in June 2024 as compared to 2505 units in June 2023.
