Mahindra Jayo is a 4.99-tonne GVW (gross vehicle weight), BS6-compliant LCV (light commercial vehicle) in India designed to cater to over 35 applications. Equipped with multiple driver productivity-oriented features, Mahindra claims that the Jayo is built to ensure non-stop performance.

Fitted with a load body measuring 3220mm x 1920mm and a day cab, the Jayo appears to be the ideal choice for businesses needing robust trucks to handle medium to heavy loads effortlessly. Featuring clear lens headlights for high light output and a metallic bumper for impact resistance, Mahindra says that its Jayo truck is the best in terms of safety. 

Mahindra also asserts that the Jayo LCV truck significantly contributes to business growth. According to Mahindra, it achieves this by integrating a trusted mDi tech engine and a proven Bosch after-treatment system (ATS), leading to lower AdBlue consumption and higher fuel efficiency. 

Equipped with comfort-oriented features such as a mobile charger, a bottle holder, an ergonomic dashboard for easy access, and a large glove box, the Mahindra Jayo ensures it meets the demands of a dynamic market. Mahindra Jayo Performance

The Jayo from Mahindra gets a strong mDi Tech powertrain which is a 4-cylinder engine. It produces 80.4hp of power at 3200rpm and promises 220Nm of torque at around 1250-2200rpm for better pick up and faster deliveries, tuned to a 5-speed overdrive gearbox.

The 5-speed manual gearbox of the Jayo is configured to help the vehicle deliver power smoothly and reduce gear shifts to improve fuel efficiency even in stop-and-go traffic conditions. While mileage is subject to driving and load conditions, the average fuel efficiency to be expected from the Jayo is between 10-11 kmpl.

Its ATS integrates with selective catalytic reduction and exhaust gas recirculation to reduce nitrogen oxides in diesel emissions for providing a sustainable logistical solution. 

Further, its engine is coupled with a 6-speed overdrive gearbox consisting of 5 forward and 1 reverse gear to deliver power transmission smoothly.
