Switch Mobility Unveils IeV 3 and IeV 4 Electric Trucks In India

Sporting top-class features, performance and a payload of 1.7 tonnes, the IeV 3 and IeV 4 electric trucks are a step up from the regular. Here’s everything you need to know about them:
Switch Mobility has unveiled the all-new IeV series electric trucks in India. Featuring a 300-kilometre range with Opportunity Charging and a cargo body extending up to 9.7 feet and capable of holding up to 340 cubic feet of containers, Switch claims that the new IeV 3 and IeV 4 electric trucks can take on fleet operations effortlessly to enhance profitability.
With a payload of up to 1.7 tons and a Switch iON system that offers over 20 customized features for providing real-time vehicle information, including the condition of EV aggregates, the Switch IeV 3 and IeV 4 electric trucks in the IeV series are said to be top-class electric commercial vehicles in India.
Additionally, with a 330V High Voltage EV architecture, Switch asserts that the IeV 3 and IeV 4 electric trucks are built to set a new benchmark in the 2-3.5T commercial vehicle category. Equipped with sliding and reclining seats, along with foldable parking brakes, the Switch IeV 3 and IeV 4 trucks are also designed to enhance comfort.

Impact of Switch IeV Series:
The IeV Series is India’s first electric commercial vehicle in its category, designed to provide efficient and eco-friendly performance to meet the last-mile mobility requirements of fleet owners and operators. The vehicles are also deemed an attractive value proposition for MSMEs, cottage industries, and e-commerce in India thanks to higher uptime.
Hydrogen Fuel-Cell Electric Bus:
While Switch Mobility, a mobility solutions company part of Ashok Leyland, launched their IeV 3 and IeV 4 electric trucks as a gesture resonating with the commemorations of Ashok Leyland’s 75th year of operations, Ashok Leyland itself has showcased the new, 9-metre, hydrogen fuel-cell electric bus developed for National Thermal Power Corporation.
As for the new hydrogen fuel-cell electric bus, Ashok Leyland claims that it is India’s first fuel-cell bus that will commercially ply on its roads. Additionally, the company has also recently showcased India’s first hydrogen internal combustion engine-based truck, launched in collaboration with Reliance Industries.
