The Pro 2055T is powered by an E474 4-cylinder 4-valve CRS BS6-compliant diesel engine tuned to generate 120 hp and 350 Nm at around 1200 to 2500 rpm. This engine is mated to an in-house developed Eicher 35M5R 5-speed transmission. The engine and gearbox are paired to each other by a robust 310-diameter clutch setup for efficient torque production. 

CRS stands for "Common Rail System," used to improve fuel efficiency and overall performance of the vehicle. It includes a fuel injection process that sends fuel into the combustion chamber at high pressure through a common rail that supplies fuel to all the engine's cylinders. This allows for optimal usage of fuel and delivery of power. 

Further, the vehicle is outfitted with grease-free, semi-elliptical suspension with a shock absorber and anti-roll bar at the front. Semi-elliptical laminated leaf springs are made up of multiple thin steel strips, or leaves, stacked on top of each other and clamped together to flex and absorb shocks and vibrations from the road.
