The Dost Strong is one variant within Ashok Leyland’s popular Dost range of mini-trucks, and one of the most recognized truck brands in the Indian commercial vehicle market. Performance

A powerful 1.5L 1478 cc Turbo-charged Diesel Common Rail (TDCR) engine delivers the required energy to move the vehicle easily. The engine can produce a maximum power of 58 hp at 3300 rpm and a maximum torque of 157.5 Nm at 1600 - 2400 rpm without compromising fuel efficiency. The engine is designed in such a way that it can give maximum output at low fuel consumption. A fully synchromesh five-speed gearbox with an overdrive (5 forward + 1 reverse gear) has the responsibility to take care of the transmission duty. The designed maximum achievable speed is marked as 80km per hour. However, a grade ability of 29% can be observed with the rated payload. 

Safety

The Ashok Leyland Dost Strong comes with all the essential safety components. There are hydraulic vacuum-assisted booster brakes with Load Sensing Proportioning Valve (LSPV) which ensures safe and secure delivery of the goods and commodities. The type of brakes are ventilated disc type and drum type on the front and rear wheel respectively. Along with this, parking brakes and ELR seat belts are also given within the vehicle. However, as additional safety equipment, Front Impact Absorption Bar and Tail Lamp Protector are fitted to the vehicle.
