Ashok Leyland Registers A 2 Percent Domestic Sales Growth In LCV Segment In June 2024 YoY

By witnessing a 2 percent sales growth of the Ashok Leyland LCV segment in June 2024 YoY, the company sold 5209 units in June 2024 compared to 5089 units in June 2023 in India.

Ashok Leyland, flagship of the Hinduja Group, has revealed its sales data for the month of June 2024. The commercial vehicle sales report includes the June 2024 sales figures for medium and heavy commercial vehicles (M&HCVs) and light commercial vehicles (LCVs) of Ashok Leyland. It reveals the positive sales growth for the LCV category in both domestic and export sales for June 2024.  

However, the M&HCV category saw a dip in its sales in June 2024 in both the export and domestic markets. Considering the export and domestic sales of Ashok Leyland commercial vehicles, the company observed an overall 3.19 percent decline in June 2024 YoY (year on year) by selling 12,910 units in this period compared to 13,336 units in June 2023.

Insights Of Ashok Leyland CV Sales Report June 2024

In the LCV category, Ashok Leyland sold 5209 units in June 2024 compared to 5089 units in June 2023 in India, indicating a slight sales increase of 2 percent in the last month. While discussing its export sales performance, the Ashok Leyland LCV category witnessed a significant sales growth of 24.71 percent after selling 212 units in June 2024 compared to 170 units in June 2023. 

In the M&HCV category, Ashok Leyland sold 7417 units in June 2024 in India compared to 7980 units in the same month last year, highlighting a sales decrease of 7 percent. Considering its export sales performance in June 2024, Ashok Leyland reported a sales decline of 25.77 percent by selling 72 units compared to 97 units in June 2023. 

The overall sales performance of Ashok Leyland commercial vehicles in June 2024 is manifested in its domestic and export sales data which shows a 7 percent decrease in sales of M&HCVs and a 3 percent increase in sales of LCVs. Ashok Leyland sold 7489 M&HCV units in June 2024 compared to 8077 units in June 2023 while the brand sold 5421 LCV units in June 2024 compared to 5259 units in June 2023.

As per the latest Ashok Leyland CV sales report June 2024, the company registered a dip of 3.39 percent in its sales in June 2024 YoY in the Indian market.
