Tata Motors Magic Reaches Three Lac Sales Mark

Tata motors has been a pioneer in Indian commercial vehicle industry and has not only pierced the conventional markets, but has also carved some new niches. One of the segments in which Tata holds a strong prominence is Small Commercial Passenger Vehicle market. The company launched its famous Magic small truck in June 2007 and since then the vehicle has become the backbone of inter-city as well as intra-city commuting. Tata has sold 3 lacs Magic trucks so far and the number is still counting. Though, the state authorities are required to issue a license to allow the use of Magic on city roads. Also with ‘Make in India’ project in the air these days, both central and state governments are also encouraging the use of Magic.

However, the market for small vehicles has not been too enthusiastic in last couple of years, but with Tata NEEV Program, the company with the help of Gram and Kisan Mitras has been able to achieve 3 lac mark. Based on the Tata’s another famous Pick-up truck Ace, Magic is available in both CNG and Diesel options complied to BSIII and BSIV emission norms.
