Piaggio Launches Ape E-city FX NE Max Electric Rickshaw: Price Included

Piaggio Vehicles has launched the Apé E-city FX NE Max, an electric passenger 3-wheeler, in Tamil Nadu. This marks a significant milestone for the brand as the Apé E-city FX NE Max becomes the first Piaggio 3-wheeled passenger electric vehicle to gain approval from the state transport authority in Tamil Nadu, positioning itself as a category leader in the market.

Unveiled by Mr Diego Graffi, chairman and MD, Piaggio Vehicles, and Mr Amit Sagar, EVP– Piaggio Commercial Vehicles, and crafted by an all-women team at Piaggio’s Baramati factory, the Apé E-city FX NE Max is expected to redefine last-mile passenger transportation, being built with a focus on sustainability, enhanced driving range, and cost-effectiveness.

How Cool Is New Apé E-city FX NE Max? 

With a driving range of 145km, the Apé E-city FX NE Max ensures continuous operation without frequent visits to the charging station. The 3-wheeler also boasts 12-inch tyres, offering enhanced ground clearance and 20 percent gradeability, making it ideal for handling diverse terrains.

In terms of design, the vehicle showcases an attractive bezel and eye-catching graphics. However, what sets the Apé E-city FX NE Max apart is its advanced battery performance, because, to address the common concern of range anxiety, the vehicle has a reserve range of up to 5km.  

Additionally, the Piaggio Apé E-city FX NE Max introduces telematics 2.0, a sophisticated system that enhances navigation for drivers and empowers fleet owners with efficient fleet management. Furthermore, to provide better visibility and control while driving, Piaggio says the vehicle’s seat height has also been adjusted.

The Apé E-city FX NE Max is available at an attractive starting price of Rs 3,46,240 lakh at all Apé Electrik Experience Centers across Tamil Nadu.
