Blue Energy Motors has achieved a significant milestone by clocking 1 crore km on Indian roads

In an effort to enhance the efficiency of operations related to long lead applications, Blue Energy Motors (BEM), a green truck manufacturing company, announces that its fleet of BEM trucks clocks 1 crore kilometres on Indian roads. This feat is achieved during its operation across various customer applications of India’s Fortune 500 companies.

According to BEM, the cumulative distance travelled by its trucks is a testament to their reliability while highlighting the positive environmental impact of these vehicles. BEM asserts that covering over 1 crore km, it has effectively reduced over 3000 tonnes of CO2 emissions, which is equivalent to the environmental benefit provided by 1.2 lakh mature trees.

Insights: Future Of Trucks And Impact

The company with its many years of expertise in LNG truck development and manufacturing claims that the Indian trucking market is expected to grow four times by 2050 from 4 million trucks in 2022 to 17 million trucks. While this is said to boost the nation’s economy, BEM says that it will increase emission levels.

Hence, BEM asserts it is important to ensure that green mobility solutions contribute to a cleaner and more sustainable transport system. The company also asserts that as per the Niti Ayog report, LNG is an ideal alternative to diesel trucks. So, it is expected that LNG-powered heavy commercial vehicles in total sales per annum will reach 10% by 2032.
