Blue Energy Motors marks the International Day of Clean Energy on January 26 2024, aligning with India's Republic Day for celebrating a remarkable achievement. The fleet of trucks from Blue Energy Motors has effectively curbed over 2,500 tonnes of CO2 emissions since its inception which it says is a substantial 30 percent slash in emissions from the air.

Blue Energy Motors asserts that the Indian logistics sector holds the position of being the third-largest CO2 emitter, constituting about 14 percent of total emissions and within logistics, heavy trucking contributes to 45 percent of total CO2 emissions.

Tackling this challenge head-on, zero-emission trucks (be it LNG or battery-operated) have the potential to slice down a significant 2.8-3.8 gigatons of CO2 emissions from now until 2050. In sync with this vision, the brand claims that its dedication to decarbonisation has made a positive environmental effect equivalent to 100,000 trees absorbing CO2 in one year.

Impact Of LNG Trucks

Blue Energy Motors claims that the emission reduction statistics of LNG trucks showcase their environmental impact, boasting a notable 30 percent decrease in CO2 emissions compared to their diesel counterparts.

LNG trucks also play a pivotal role in fostering a cleaner atmosphere by reducing noise pollution by up to 30 percent, carbon monoxide by up to 70 percent, sulphur oxide by up to 100 percent, nitrogen oxide by up to 59 percent, and particulate matter by up to 98 percent.

Furthermore, the company claims that a single LNG truck, covering an average distance of 80,000 km in a year, can significantly cut down emissions, illustrating the tangible benefits of this green transportation solution.

What We Think?

Transitioning to green trucks is not just about reducing CO2 emissions, it is a step towards mitigating the adverse impact of commercial vehicles on our environment. Embracing green trucking will contribute to reducing emissions from the logistics and transportation industry. Blue Energy Motors, in its ongoing journey, stands as a beacon of sustainable practices in the transportation sector, promising a new era of eco-conscious logistics.
