Ashok Leyland 2518 BS-IV

February 27, 2020: The Ashok Leyland 2518 is a major player in the medium-duty truck segment which caters to a variety of applications. 2518 combines the manoeuvrability of a two-axle truck and provides its user with the economy of a multi-axle vehicle. The truck receives immense competition from the TATA LPT 2518 and its chassis and cowl load body is offered in orange and black colour setup. However, 2518 is the sole model in its lineup and it is powered by a BS-IV compliant six-cylinder 5660cc Ashok Leyland H series turbocharged inter-cooled, CRS diesel engine. The 5600cc engine produces a maximum power output of 180hp at 2400rpm alongside a peak torque of up to 660Nm. Transmission of the vehicle is handled by an ALGB 940 six-speed manual gearbox.
