Tata Motors New Vehicle Scrapping Facility In Delhi  Is A State-of-the-art Facility

In a move towards advancing sustainable mobility, Tata Motors, one of India’s leading commercial vehicle manufacturers, inaugurated its fifth registered vehicle scrapping facility (RVSF) located near Delhi. The facility named ‘Re.Wi.Re’ standing for “recycle with respect”  was inaugurated by Girish Wagh, executive director, Tata Motors. 

Tata Motors asserts that the new vehicle scrapping facility has an environmentally friendly scrapping process and can safely disassemble 18,000 end-of-life vehicles annually. Developed in partnership with Johar Motors, the RVSF is constructed to scrap passenger and commercial vehicles of all brands responsibly.

Additionally, Tata Motors claims that the company has four other RVSFs. They are established in Jaipur, Bhubaneshwar, Surat and Chandigarh aimed at advancing sustainable initiatives.

What Makes Re.Wi.Re Unique?

Re.Wi.Re. is a cutting-edge facility, purpose-built for dismantling end-of-life passenger and commercial vehicles across all brands. The fully digitalised facility is equipped with dedicated cell-type and line-type dismantling for commercial vehicles and passenger vehicles, respectively, and all its operations are seamless and paperless.

Additionally, there are dedicated stations for safely dismantling various components, including tyres, batteries, fuel, oil, liquids, and gases. Every vehicle undergoes a meticulous documentation and dismantling process specifically designed to meet the requirements of passenger and commercial vehicles.

By doing so, the dismantling process ensures maximum attention to detail, guaranteeing the safe disposal of all components as per the vehicle scrappage policy.
