Mahindra Bolero Pikup 1.3T

The 1.3 tonnes variant of the pickup truck is the smallest in its range in terms of Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) and load capacity. Nonetheless, the pickup truck comes with the same engine features and equipment as in the Bolero Pikup 1.5T.

The truck is powered by a 2.5-litre m2DICR turbocharged diesel engine with a maximum power of 70 hp at 3,200 rpm and a peak torque of 195 Nm at 1,500 - 1,800 rpm. The engine is paired with a five-speed manual transmission which sends power to the rear wheels.

The Bolero Pikup 1.3T also gets a number of features that enhance its load capacity, performance and overall driving experience. The vehicles do not just come in new payload capacities but also get a more spacious loading area of about 45.75 square feet which enables wider cargo haulage.

Mahindra Bolero Pikup 1.5T

This was the only variant of the pickup until the 1.3T and 1.7T variants were recently launched. This 1.5T also gets the same 2.5-litre turbocharged diesel powertrain with identical power figures. The platform is the same for all variants, and the feature and equipment upgrades are consistent on all the models.

The pickup truck also gets a redesigned cabin which makes for exceptional comfort and a convenient driving experience.

Mahindra Bolero 1.7T

The Mahindra Bolero 1.7T is the largest variant in terms of load capacity and the truck is similar to the other two variants, packing the same design, features, and engine as the other variants. The improved suspension setup and a wider load body makes it a perfect choice for carrying heavy loads.

Key Differences And Applications

The Bolero Pikup Extra Strong is the base model with a smaller cargo bed and basic features. The Bolero Pikup Extra Long is a longer version of the standard variant with a larger cargo bed for more loading capacity. The Bolero Pikup Flatbed, on the other hand, is a variant designed for commercial use with a flat cargo bed for maximum versatility.

The key difference between these variants is primarily their size, the type of cargo bed, and the features offered. The Mahindra Bolero Pikup Extra Strong has load body dimensions of 2540x1700x650 mm (lxwxh) while the dimensions of the Extra Long variant’s load body are 2765x1700x650 mm. The overall dimensions of both vehicles are almost same, with only the Extra Strong variant measuring 5219 mm in length, 4 mm more than the Extra Long variant.

Based on that, a buyer should opt for a variant as per their specific needs and usage requirements.

  • The Bolero Pikup Extra Strong is suitable for personal or light commercial use with a smaller cargo bed.

  • The Bolero Pikup Extra Long is suitable for buyers who need a larger cargo bed for transporting large goods.

  • The Bolero Pikup Flatbed is ideal for buyers who need a flat and versatile cargo bed for commercial purposes.

Ultimately, the choice of the variant will depend on the buyer's budget and the specific requirements they have for their vehicle.
