Featuring an 1199 cc direct-injection BS6-compliant engine, both vehicles produce 58.4 hp (43 kW) with petrol driving mode and 53 hp (39 kW) at 4000 rpm with CNG mode. Their powertrain is somewhat similar as both vehicles can start on CNG and petrol to provide better fuel economy to the customers.

Tata Motors has recently announced the launch of Intra V20 Gold which is an upgraded version of the Intra V20 bi-fuel. The Intra V20 bi-fuel has a 2275 kg gross vehicle weight with a load-carrying capacity of up to 1000 kg. But the new Intra V20 Gold model has a higher payload capacity of 1200 kg, with a 2550 kg gross vehicle weight.

With 20 percent more loadability in the Intra V20 Gold, the vehicle is capable of transporting heavy cargo loads like construction materials, textiles, retail market loads, and FMCG (fast-moving consumer goods). Catering to diverse light-duty applications including milk delivery, courier delivery, and fruit and vegetable delivery, the Intra V20 bi-fuel mini truck should be an ideal choice.   

CNG Cylinder Capacity Comparison

Although both bi-fuel vehicles provide a similar option of petrol fuel tanks with a capacity of 35 litres and 5 litres, the Intra V20 Gold model comes with 35 percent more CNG capacity with a 110 litre CNG cylinder against an 80-litre CNG cylinder in Intra V20 bi fuel. 

This clearly shows that an additional 30-litre CNG cylinder is fitted in the Intra V20 Gold, helping to increase its driving range of 800 km against the 700 km range in the case of Intra V20 bi-fuel. With more CNG capacity, the Intra V20 Gold improves uptime and reduces frequent visits to CNG stations during business trips.  

Drivability Comparison

Built with a robust body of 4460 mm length, both vehicles have the same wheelbase of 2450 mm to enhance vehicle stability. Both mini trucks feature an EPAS (electronic power-assisted steering) system to reduce the steering efforts during haulage operations. The Intra V20 Gold boasts a turning circle radius (TCR) of 5675 mm while the Intra V20 bi-fuel has a smaller TCR of 5250 mm. 

As the Intra V20 bi-fuel has a smaller TCR, it needs less space to make a turn and helps to take tighter turns and manoeuvre heavy traffic zones easily during cargo transportation. Hence, the Intra V20 bi-fuel can better navigate through narrow streets, congested city lanes, and parking lots than the Intra V20 Gold.
