With the commitment to enhance skill development and employment opportunities, Ashok Leyland aims to foster growth and prosperity in Uttarakhand
In a significant move towards enhancing skill development and creating employment opportunities in Uttarakhand, Ashok Leyland, the Indian flagship of the Hinduja Group, distributed apprentice engagement letters to its inaugural batch of apprentices at Rudrapur Pantnagar. This initiative aligns with the National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS).
The distribution ceremony, held at Rudrapur Pantnagar, was graced by Shri Saurabh Bahuguna, minister of skill development and employment, Government of Uttarakhand, and Ganesh Mani, COO, Ashok Leyland.
As per Ashok Leyland, this marks a significant milestone since the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between Ashok Leyland and the Government of Uttarakhand in July 2023, aiming to engage 1000 apprentices annually for three years, starting from 2023.

Impact Of The Collaboration
The collaboration between Ashok Leyland and the government has led to the successful onboarding of over 400 apprentices across diverse disciplines. This achievement reflects the cooperative efforts of the government and Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) throughout Uttarakhand.
