Expanding its last-mile electric vehicle portfolio, Altigreen Propulsion Labs-the maker of powerful e-cargo three-wheeler neEV has introduced the Tej variant. The key highlight of this new vehicle is it solves the common problem that EVs face, quick charging, and here you can charge the 100% battery in just 15 minutes. That sounds compelling given that most of the customers are anxious about battery range while delivering their cargo shipments. Partnering with Exponent Energy, Altigreen’s latest neEV Tej is priced at ₹ 3,55,000 lakh.
The neEV Tej gets an 8.19 kWh e-pack and an Exponent proprietary battery built using standard LFP cell chemistry. The e-cargo also has a 98 kilometers ARAI-certified range and an 85 kilometers city drive range. You get a 5-year or 1 lakh km guarantee and a 5-year or 1.55 lakh km battery warranty on this vehicle. According to Alrigreen, with the higher range and faster charging times, customers will benefit immensely with higher trips every single day with minimum time for a charge, thus boosting the potential to make a greater profit.

In August 2022, Altigreen and Exponent joined hands to bring in fast-charging solutions to rapidly expand the electrification of last-mile vehicles in India. And the introduction of neEV Tej is the first product of the partnership. This fast charging will be enabled on Exponent Energy’s innovative e-pump charging network.
Alrigreen plan to manufacture the new range of vehicles at its Malur factory, which has an annual production capacity of 55,000 units. The last-mile EV maker is present in 12 cities and expects to deploy nearly 2,000 units of the newly launched Tej in Bangalore alone.
To address the battery production, Exponent Energy remains focused on producing additional batteries for both passenger and cargo commercial vehicles, including three-wheeler and four-wheeler vehicles with plans to set up 100 e-pumps.
