Exponent’s pack on the Altigreen neEV HD has an 8.19kWh capacity and delivers a range of 80-85 km on a full charge. It can rapid-charge an EV from 0 to 100% within 15 minutes.
The rapid electrification of India’s last-mile vehicles segment- three-wheeler cargo and passenger carriers have accelerated key partnerships/collaborations in-vehicle technologies and infrastructure developments. This transition is led by some of India’s start-ups that are finding increasing opportunities to provide the right solutions at an affordable price to further enable easier buying, running, and use of electric vehicles.
Taking a cue from this, Altigreen- the electric three-wheeler marker has partnered with Exponent Energy, a Bangalore-based startup to build a battery pack and charging station called the e^pack and e^pump, that together can rapid-charge an EV from 0 to 100% within 15 minutes.
The technology supports charging EVs with any number of wheels and provides a 3,000-battery cycle-life warranty, all the while using affordable Li-ion cells (LFP) to make rapid charging truly affordable and scalable.
Exponent’s e^pack on the Altigreen neEV HD has an 8.19kWh capacity and delivers a range of 80-85 km on a full charge. Uniquely built using regular LFP cell chemistry, making this the first rapid charging solution that’s affordable and scalable.
Both companies are planning a network of 100 e^pumps will that be set up in Bengaluru by Q1 2023 with other cities to follow. Customer deliveries will begin in October 2022. Exponent Energy has partnered with electric last last-mile activity player Altigreen Propulsion Labs. The three-wheeler consists of a range of 80-85 km and charges up in 15 minutes at the Exponent’s e^pump network. This is achieved by the e^pump delivering 600A of current to the e^pack while managing individual cell characteristics including thermals to ensure safety, long battery life, and performance consistency even at 50 degrees Celsius.
