Tata Motors is currently busy organising CV roadshows in 44 different cities. The roadshow is targeted towards increasing sales of Tata's mini truck series - Ace. This roadshow has been christened as ‘Small Commercial Vehicle Application Expo’ – ‘Har Business ka Ace’, by the top CV player in the country.
The CV brand has already covered cities including Mumbai, Bikaner, Jaipur, Bhubaneshwar and Udaipur. Tata Motors has showcased 11 fully built variants of Ace mini truck. These variants include fully built water tanker, cafeteria on wheels, refrigerated transport mini trucks, box tippers, insulated containers, hoppers and steel containers.
R T Wasan, VP (Sales and Marketing), Tata Motors, said, “At Tata Motors, we understand our customers’ requirements and the launch of the SCV Application Expo is yet another innovative example of addressing emerging needs for a safer, more comfortable and a reliable commercial vehicle experience."
He further added, "As leaders in the fully-built commercial vehicle space, with the SCV Application Expo, we also hope to cut down on our customers’ waiting time by bringing our ready-to-use small commercial vehicles even more closer to them. Fully Built Vehicles provide for customised off-the-shelf solutions with easy-to-operate equipment. With application-based offerings and added benefits of being backed by Tata Motors’ extensive service network, we are geared to provide our customers with a unique differentiator, for sustainable business models.”
It is not a hidden fact that Tata small trucks, especially the Ace range, is facing tough competition from Mahindra Jeeto series. This current roadshow by Tata can also be seen as a result of the same.
Tata Motors has gone all guns blazing in terms of media campaigns from the start of 2017. At least, hiring Akshay Kumar as its CV’s brand ambassdor, Tata Xenon Yodha launch at the beginning of January, Tata Hexa Launch, Tata Motors Fuel Cell Bus showcase event followed by this roadshow hint towards the same. This reputed CV brand’s Facebook handle has also promised something big scheduled for February 2, 2017.
There are just two ways as we see this all aggressive side of Tata Motors – either the brand is planning to make it big this year, or it has started realizing the fact that the competition in India, is indeed, getting tougher.
