Daimler India Commercial Vehicles (DICV) which is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Daimler Truck AG has named Muthumaruthachalam C as its new president and chief of operations and logistics effective from August 15, 2024, taking over from Anshum Jain who left the company in April 2024.
In his new position, he will join the core leadership team of DICV reporting to Satyakam Arya who is the Managing Director and CEO. He will be in charge of overall operations including the manufacturing engineering department and truck operating system department among others.
Furthermore, he has been tasked with the responsibility of seeing to it that there is a smooth flow of activities within manufacturing processes while at the same time ensuring that these processes have been improved upon for top-notch business performance.

The Journey So Far
At DICV Muthumaruthachalam started in 2009 as a heavy-duty truck specialist where he played a significant role towards the realisation of BharatBenz products which were being launched into markets by 2012 before moving into a quality assurance leadership position that oversaw warranty analysis and product reliability for BharatBenz trucks.
He then moved on to Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation (MFTBC) in 2015 as manager of global product reliability and warranty for FUSO Trucks and Buses International. However, he returned to DICV in March 2020 but this time around serving as head of supply chain management and logistics until his recent appointment
Since March 2023, he has led the newly-formed ‘Procurement and Supply Chain Management’ organisation as president and chief supply chain officer. His extensive global experience and deep understanding of process management have been key to his success within Daimler Truck.
