Isuzu D-Max V-Cross Bookings Start at INR 50,000, Launch to Follow Soon

Japanese automaker Isuzu has limited offerings in India and one of the prominent ones is the D-Max pickup truck. At the recently concluded Auto Expo 2016, Isuzu launched the facelifted version of this pickup named D-Max V-Cross with more stylish features and better performance numbers. Now, Isuzu dealerships pan India have opened bookings for D-Max V-Cross at INR 50,000 and the vehicle launch is to be followed soon. However, the exact ex-showroom price and launch date have yet not been confirmed from the company, but the prices are expected to start from INR 12.5 lakh with launch predicted early next month.

The new D-Max V-Cross would be assembled at the company’s recently opened manufacturing facility at Sri City, Andhra Pradesh and would be using 70 percent locally manufactured parts. Detailing the truck’s specifications, it’ll be available in two Single Cab and one Crew Cab body types with all the three variants having the same wheelbase of 3,095 mm. The luxury pickup will be powered by a 2.5 litre 4-Cylinder VGS turbocharged intercooled diesel engine and will churn out power & torque of 78 - 134 bhp and 176 - 320 Nm, respectively.

Talking about the features, the vehicle comes loaded with a six-way adjustable driver seat, central locking, power windows, tiltable power steering, touchscreen infotainment system, climate control and more. The overall comfort of the cabin is not lesser than any SUV. The exteriors are also stylish and up to modern day standards with robust frame and structure offering necessary safety. Improving the safety further, there are features like ABS, EBD with brake assist, dual front airbags and impact absorbing bonnet design.

As a treat for buyers, the Isuzu D-Max V-Cross pickup truck can also be registered as a passenger vehicle along with the regular commercial registration. Making it more suitable for adventure driving is the 4x4 mode, which can be switched on using a knob near transmission system inside the cabin. The major competitors of this all new Isuzu D-Max V-Cross would be Mahindra Imperio, Mahindra Scorpio Getaway and Tata Xenon.
