Engine: What Makes It Unique? 

The Mahindra Jeeto is available in several models: Jeeto Strong Diesel, Jeeto Strong CNG and Jeeto Plus Petrol. Here, the Jeeto Strong CNG is equipped with a four-stroke CNG powertrain, capable of generating 20.11 hp at 4000 rpm and 42 Nm of torque. This engine is mated to a 4-speed manual transmission with short gear ratios for better initial torque output. 

As for the engine, it feels refined and smooth. However, the engine's performance changes noticeably when climbing steep inclines. Although vibrations are minimal, the engine struggles a bit on gradients. But on highways, the vehicle is a breeze to drive. Overall, this single-cylinder engine is ideal for short haulage operations in highway driving conditions. 

Driveability: Ride And Handling Performance

The Mahindra Jeeto Strong CNG offers decent ride and handling. Even on bad sections of roads, the vehicle performs surprisingly well and thanks to the integration of McPherson strut suspension in the front and a semi-trailing arm in the rear, the vehicle offers high stability in highway driving conditions. 

Additionally, the 12-inch wheels contribute to ride comfort substantially. They help improve the ground clearance of the vehicle and iron out bumps and undulations to keep the occupants comfortable. Taking U-turns is also easy thanks to a shorter turning radius. 

However, the manual-assisted steering system feels a bit difficult to operate at lower speeds. At higher speeds, the steering becomes a tad bit light and offers enough heft and feedback to enhance driveability. 

Mileage: How Good Is It? 

According to Mahindra, the Jeeto Strong CNG boasts impressive fuel efficiency, essential for enhancing fleet performance. Specifically, the Jeeto Strong has a claimed fuel efficiency of 35 km/kg, which is excellent for a mini truck. Mahindra claims this efficiency is attributed to the efficient tuning of the engine and transmission aggregates. 

Exterior Design

The Jeeto Strong CNG shares many of its design elements with its siblings – Jeeto Stong Diesel and Jeeto Plus Petrol. However, it stands out as unique with certain touches and elements that give it a unique stance. This includes the integration of a triangular pattern decal spread across the sides of the cabin and the CNG and Strong logo on the side panel. 

Moreover, the vehicle has a stylish fascia that gives it a tough appearance. It has headlights and a grille that are seamlessly integrated, resembling a horizontally positioned paddle. A prominent Mahindra logo is also centrally mounted on a black element that features a distinctive downward kink to give it a robust look. 

Other elements added to the vehicle include the integration of the battery on the left side of the truck between the chassis and load body with a provision for locking and a CNG fuel refuelling nozzle chamber for safety integrated onto the right side of the truck.

Moving on to the rear, the vehicle features two reverse parking sensors and number plate lights to enhance safety. However, a rear crash guard is not included as a standard safety feature. On the plus side, owners and operators can customise the crash guard to improve safety and match their preferences.

Interior Design

Coming to the cabin space of the truck, there are not many elements to boast about. The vehicle has a limited set of features which is a drawback. However, it does house certain comfort and convenience features that are necessary in every sense. This includes the integration of a 12 V mobile charging socket and an informative digitised instrument cluster. 

Further, on the door card including window winders, there are door locks as well and on the roof liner, just above the cabin rear view mirror, there is a cabin lamp. There is also space on the dashboard to store valuables such as a smartphone and there is also a small lockable glove box. For safety, the vehicle also includes a fire extinguisher.  

Moreover, an interesting feature of the cabin is its dashboard-mounted gear lever. This design facilitates cabin walkthroughs and ensures ample legroom. The vehicle also features a comfortable driver's seat, providing a commanding driving position.
