Collaborating with India Accelerator, Clean Motion, a Swedish e-mobility firm that makes electric vehicles for city streets, will be producing and selling their Zbee electric vehicle in India. This partnership aims at providing effective and efficient ways of transportation which are also sustainable for a rapidly increasing urban population.
The Zbee is an energy-efficient vehicle with a compact design that is popularly known for its minimal usage of power. This car is projected to have a great impact on short-distance travel within towns since it offers practicality while being environmentally friendly.
India being the most populated country globally creates a need for innovation coupled with sustainable transport systems. To meet this demand Clean Motion which has already set base in India plans to further penetrate the market by manufacturing as well as selling these vehicles locally thereby saving on import duties among other costs.

What Makes This Partnership Unique?
The expansion is in partnership with the venture capital fund India Accelerator, which is investing in Clean Motion's Indian subsidiary, Clean Mobility Solutions India. Clean Motion will receive an initial investment of SEK 6.8 million. Additionally, they have entered into a licensing arrangement that allows them to manufacture and sell their products in India.
By teaming up with India Accelerator, Clean Motion is taking a big step towards expanding its presence in India. With the initial investment and the licensing agreement, they are well-positioned to bring their innovative solutions to the Indian market.

New Factory: Where Will It Be Located?
The new Zbee factory is going to be set up in Pune and will start producing vehicles in the fall of 2024. They plan to quickly increase their production capacity and aim to make 1,000 vehicles every month within three years. This expansion is in line with the Indian government's push for electric vehicles and will help reduce emissions in the market.
