Tata Celebrates 30 Year Long Journey of 407

Indian CV sector’s leading player Tata Motors has a fleet of trucks available but one of them is defined as legendary. The truck which has completed 30 years of journey and is still making its contemporary options look dull. It’s Tata 407, the leader in light commercial vehicle segment, offered under three ranges namely SFC, LPK and LPT. The company has embarked on a nationwide celebration in its 400 showrooms and outlets on this occasion.
Launched back in 1986, the 407 caters to all the needs of city transportation, whether it’s delivering FMCG or building materials with next to negligible maintenance cost. It was launched back in the time as one of the most advanced trucks which could conquer any road with whatsoever the load is. The SFC 407 is used majorly in city-centric purpose whereas LPT 407 range is for doing longer rounds within the city and its nearby areas. The LPK 407 series is to cater the needs of building sites and mining areas.

The 407 is available in the GW range of 5.95 - 7.25 kg and generates power & torque between 72.8 - 121.6 bhp & 245 - 400 Nm, respectively. The gradeability lies in the range of 22-28 percent, making it fit for hilly terrains. The LCV is still the first choice of many small business operators and Tata is proud celebrating this fact.
