Mahindra Blazo Smart Trucks Range Launched in South India

Soon after introducing the Blazo FuelSmart truck range in Kolkata, Mahindra has now launched the series in Bengaluru, Karnataka. With this launch, the company has now covered four regions in the country, that is, North (Delhi launch), East (Kolkata launch), West (Jaipur launch) and South (Bengaluru launch).

After launching the Blazo range at Auto Expo 2016 in February this year, Mahindra has got significant response across the pan Indian market for this specific range. Introduced under heavy commercial vehicle segment and with GVW capacity of 25-49 tonne, the range includes various trucks for different applications like tipper for construction and mining, haulage for inter-city transportation and tractor trailer for long distance trips. This range is likely to improve the market share of Mahindra trucks from the present four percent.

Equipped with FuelSmart technology which ensures best mileage in the market for its class, drivers are able to choose from three modes namely Turbo, Heavy and Light, depending on the requirements. The 7.2 Litre CRDe engine, common in passenger vehicles, powers the Blazo range and has been made available in the brand’s commercial vehicle segment for the first time. Mr. Nalin Mehta, CEO, Mahindra Trucks and Buses, said, “Our truck and bus business has been growing steadily and is taking full advantage of the buoyancy in the HCV segment. We are confident that new Blazo heavy commercial vehicle range will further enhance our position in the market by significantly improving the customer value proposition.”

The company is also offering a unique back-to-road assistance. Under this service, Mahindra guarantees to bring back any Blazo truck on the road within 48 hours after breakdown.The driver would be entitled to get INR 1,000 per day if this condition is not fulfilled. Mahindra has also developed a new development facility at Chakan, Pune in 700 acres area with INR 4,000 crores investment to meet the market demands of Blazo range.
