The clutch is a single plate dry diaphragm, and the synchomesh gearbox with 5 forwards and one reverse gear. The brakes are hydraulic load sensing proportionating Valve and Vacuum booster; the front brakes come as disc and rear as a drum. The front suspension is Mcpherson strut and rear is leaf spring.

The Porter 1000 GVW is 1924 kg with 924 kerb kg with a payload of 1000 kg. The cargo deck size length is 2176 mm, width 1460 mm, and a height of 320 mm.
