One of the most understated and underrated commercial van and cargo platforms in the market has to be the Tata Winger platform. Ever since it arrived around a decade ago, Winger has continued to offer unique benefits from its low-slung and highly versatile design. The maximum permissible GVW rating of the Tata Winger Cargo is offered in two separate weights - 2850kg and 3490kg where the corresponding kerb weights for these two variants are 1700kg and 1900kg respectively. This translates into a commendable rated maximum legal Payloads of - 1150Kg and 1590Kg, respectively. The Tata Winger Cargo is also offered in two separate cargo body lengths – 9 ft and 10.8 ft. Furthermore, the two complementing wheelbase lengths for these variants are - 3200 mm and 3488 mm, respectively.  The most significant feature of the Tata Winger Cargo is its low floor height which offers the easiest loading and unloading of cargo in the market.

At the heart of Tata, Winger Cargo is the company’s 2179cc 4-cylinder BSIV-compliant  Tata 2.2 l DI (LCE) Diesel Engine. In terms of power and performance, the maximum power output from this engine is  100bhp made at 4000rpm and the rated peak torque is 190Nm which arrives in the low 1250-3000rpm range. A Tata TA 70 Tata Mini Bus GB 5-speed manual gearbox takes care of transmission duties and it comes mated to a 215mm single plate dry-type clutch. The Tata Winger Cargo offers a gradeability of 36% for the 3200mm wheelbase variant and 32% for the 3488mm wheelbase variant and it has a top speed of 80kmph.
