The Tata Prima LX 4025.S is powered by the tried and tested 6.7-liter Cummins ISBe Diesel power behemoth that is BS4 compliant. This engine makes a maximum power output of 242bhp coming in at just 2500rpm while the peak torque rating of 950Nm arrives in the 1200-1700rpm range. The transmission is taken care by the hugely popular Tata G 1150 Gearbox (Over Drive) mated to a 430mm Single Plate Dry Friction Type clutch.

The Tata Prima LX 4025.S has a GCW of 40200kg (when attached with a suitable 3 Axle trailer) while the maximum permissible FAW and RAW are – 6000kg and 10200kg respectively. The Suspension duties are taken care by Parabolic lead spring and an anti-roll bar at front while at the rear, there is a Semi-elliptical Multi-leaf Spring setup for suspension. The frame is a Ladder Type Heavy Duty Frame with Rivetted & Bolted Cross Members.
