Mahindra GIO

Mar 16, 2020: The Mahindra GIO is designed keeping in mind, the underpinnings of a practical and small four-wheeler truck. Designed to offer last-mile connectivity and for small scale transport, this truck comes with a maximum GVW of 1,110kg along with a payload of 510kg to ensure carriage of goods over different corners of the city. Also, to ensure easy drive through difficult road conditions, the wheelbase offers a ground clearance of 180mm. 

While being a sole truck in its offering, the truck receives a healthy competition from the Tata Ace. Additionally, the vehicle is available in a total of five colour options namely Red, White, Green, and Blue. 

Powering the GIO is a single-cylinder direct-injection BSIV compliant engine, producing a power output of 6.8hp alongside generating a peak torque of up to 21Nm. The transmission of the vehicle is handled by a six-speed manual gearbox mated to a Multi-Disc Wet Type clutch. Lastly, the rigid axle truck gets IFS with McPherson Strut suspension type in the front along with a Leaf Spring with Telescopic shock absorber rear suspension.
