Known for the high performance, Kamaz 3123 is powered by Cummins B5.6 Turbocharged After Cooled 5.9 Litre 6-Cylinder In-Line BS III Diesel engine, which could churn out maximum power of 215 HP @ 2,500 rpm and massive peak torque of 800 Nm @ 1,500 rpm. This much torque is more than enough to give it a swift pick up and acceleration right from the start and irrespective of the terrain.
Talking about its performance, the 9-speed ZF 1110 TD gear transmission system with Axial Spring Push Type Ceramic Clutch (380 mm diameter) could take this truck to a top speed of 80 km/h with gradeability hitting 41% in crawler gear. This much gradeability coefficient ensures that it climbs all the rough and high steep terrains with ease as it moves on a highway.
Also, the BS III emission norms makes it environment friendly while it is on long trips, thanks to the 300 Litre fuel tank capacity.

Kamaz 3123 has quite moderate dimensions to move easily across the country with its full load carrying capacity. Overall, it is 8,940 mm long, 2,580 mm wide and 3,450 mm high with a wheelbase and turning radius of 5,360 mm and 7,500 mm respectively.
The load body options of 3123 are 18 and 22 Cubic Meter (CuM) letting the truck carry a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) of 31,000 kg. The GVW includes Kerb Weight of 13,200 kg and Payload of 17,800 kg.
Handling and Suspension
Every truck that gets launched in India has to be equipped with effective Handling and Suspension System and Kamaz has taken care of that well. There is ZF 8046 Adjustable Power Assisted Steering with 510 mm diameter and 26.2 ratio, making it easier to move the truck on difficult terrains.
The Forged Heavy Duty I-Beam Reverse Elliot Type front and Fully Floating Tandem with 6.17 ratio rear axle alongside Semi Elliptical Leaf Spring suspension with anti-roll bar at the front and Heavy Duty Bogie Suspension with Stabilizers at the rear make the drive bump-free.
Braking and Safety
Kamaz has equipped 3123 with Dual Brake S Cam Type service brakes, Butterfly Type engine brake and parking brakes. Now, with this braking system, the tyres of dimension 11x20 16 PR at both front and rear do remarkably well stopping the truck in time on unpredictable Indian roads. Also, the Antilock Braking System (ABS) and Seat Belts along with rugged cabin frame do everything to minimize the injury in an accident, if happens.
Design and Comfort
