This powerful tipper, also known as10-tyre multi-axle tipper is available in multiple variants and cabin options.
Ashok Leyland 2825 Tipper Engine & GearBox: The tipper gets Ashok Leyland’s A-series engine that produces 250hp of power at a peak torque of 900 Nm at1200-1800 rpm. The engine is tuned to a 9-speed gearbox.
Ashok Leyland 2825 Tipper Suspensions: The front suspension is semi-elliptic multi-leaf, and the parabolic as an option at the rear is bogie suspension.
Ashok Leyland 2825 Tipper Axles: The rear axle is fully floating single speed, and the front axle is forged I section with reverse Elliot type.

The heavy-duty tippers category has emerged as one of the high volume segments. Ashok Leyland has now introduced AVTR based strong modular heavy-duty multi-axle tippers that caters to the construction, infrastructure and mining sectors. The 2825 tipper is part of the same portfolio that comes in the 28T GVW category, also widely known as the 10-tyre tipper.
The 2825 tipper is a powerful variant tipper in the 28T GVW category for those customers who want a tipper that performs challenging roles in some of the toughest operating conditions. This tipper is a higher power variant of the 2820 tipper that the company also retails in the same category, the only major difference engine size and power in both the tippers. So, what is special about 2825 tipper? Well, we get into the details to offer you more on this powerful tipper.
Ashok Leyland 2825 tipper is identical to the rest of the HCV tipper range in the multi-axle category. The tipper comes with the standard N trim day cabin. The 2825 tipper gets an all-metal front facia for greater safety and also an all-metal bumper for easy repair. For comfortable drive and greater visibility at mining or construction sites, double headlamps mounted on the bumper for wider and long-range visibility. A LED taillight for better visibility in the night at the back.
The chassis frame is stronger, reinforced for greater load-bearing capabilities, and reduced cross member variants. The tipper load bodies are available in 14 m3, 16 m3, 18 m3 and 20 m3 options. You get several options in tyres with this tipper like the 295/90R20,| 295/95D20, 11×20 16PR, 11R20 16PR, 11×20 mine lug 18PR. The fuel tank is a cross-linked polymer on the LH side, that comes with a capacity of 220L. Then there is 48L of Adblue tank too.
The 2825 N trim cabin comes with a tilt-able mechanism for easy maintenance, suspended seats as an option for driver comfort. Ashok Leyland is also providing a standard anti-roll bar at the front. The cabin also has a generous space inside with overhead, rear and glove box storage. For the driver’s entertainment a factory-fitted music system is standard in the cabin. The AC and HVAC are optional so the customers can decide.
Besides this, there is advanced digital driver assistance to help the driver enhance the overall performance of this giant tipper. It includes key features such as gear shift advisory system, fuel economy display, trip wise distance and mileage, current gear display, etc. The driver can also access the DEF gauge, engine hours, air pressure gauge and overall driver performance score and get driver-friendly tell tales, etc.
The 2825 tipper targeted at several key constructions, mining, and infrastructure applications, to take on tough duties, it is fitted with the new Ashok Leyland's in-house A series CRS with iGen-6 technology engine that offers massive 250hp of power at 900 Nm of torque, and the 9-speed gearbox does the job of transferring power to the engine efficiently.
The key aggregates are 380 mm dia single plate, dry type with cluster booster. The front suspension is a semi-elliptic multi-leaf with a parabolic option while the rear suspension is bogie type. The brakes are full air dual line with ABS, and the parking brake is on rear wheels only. For better power, the propeller shaft is available in 2 or 3 pieces, the rear axle is fully floating single speed, and the front axle is forged I-section in reverse Elliot type. The chassis frame is 275 X 75 X 8 mm in bolted construction. The gradeability is 45.57%, 48.24% and 63.99%.
