Ashok Leyland 2825 RMC

October 6, 2020: Ashok Leyland presents the 6x4 2825 RMC variant on the 28,000 kg gross vehicle weight truck. Also known as a 10-tyre concrete mixer preferred by construction contractors or builders. These trucks are highly visible across all the major cities and towns at construction sites & even the infrastructure development sites like roads, ports, or large-size projects. This is an identical twin of the 2820 RMC except for the more powerful 250hp engine and 900hp of huge torque; other than this, both the products are almost similar. Basically, if a customer is looking for a more powerful transit mixer for his project, then Ashok Leyland wants to make a choice. 

Modular Truck: In the new emission regime, Ashok Leyland brings the all-new 2825 RMC shared the same powertrain of the rigid 2820 truck based on the AVTR platform.

New Engine: The 2825 RMC is built for tough and challenging operating needs of today’s construction and infrastructure use. The 2825 RMC gets Ashok Leyland’s proven iGen6 series engine designed and developed in-house to take on any terrain with well-known iEGR technology, blending a higher power & torque flat torque curve for superior mileage. The engine is all-new, modern A series, CRS BS6 engine, and it produces 250HP of power and a whopping 900 Nm of torque.

Clutch: The 2825 RMC Clutch is 380mm dia single dry plate, ceramic clutch with diaphragm cover assembly, air-assisted hydraulic booster

Gearbox: The 2825 RMC gearbox is a 6-speed and has two options: FGR 8.91 and 9.01

Rear-axle:The rear axle comes as fully floating, in hypoid differential.  

Suspension: The 2825 RMC suspension is semi-elliptic multi-leaf & parabolic spring at the front and NRS semi-elliptic & bogie at the rear.

This massive truck comes in two wheelbases: 3900 and 5050 mm; the gradeability is 23% and 39%; the chassis dimension is 275 mm x 75 mm x 8 mm. 

Body Options: The Ashok Leyland 2825 RMC is available in body capacities of 6 & 7 CuM RMC & 8 CuM RMC for large concrete mixers.
