This is different truck with 8-tyre but higher payload and GVW. Ashok Leyland is doing different configer truck to help fleet mielage better and bigger payload that means higher profit. I think this is good for some application in tanker, container or market load kinds of cargo transport. also bigger looking truck. overall good R&D ashok leyland in the heavy truck market in India.

Versatile and capable
The Ashok Leyland 2620 is a value for money and economical truck. The 8-wheeler haulage truck is perfect for long-haulage purposes and the truck is extremely versatile and capable. You cannot find many trucks as reliable and efficient as this one in the 25.5 GVW segment. The truck has a comfortable and spacious cabin as well and in terms of exterior appearance, it looks modern and stylish. The build quality is pretty good as well, making for considerable load and safe haulage of cargo over long distances.
