WPI Group Ltd Terms the Volvo FH as 'The Best Looking Truck on The Road'

Volvo trucks have been ruling the commercial vehicle market the world over. At a recent event which saw the handover of their new 80-tonne GCW, 6X2 tag-axle tractor unit, Steve Igoe, the Co-director at WPI Group Ltd, said, “It is because both the Volvo product and the service we receive from Thomas Hardie Commercials is second to none. Furthermore, in my opinion, the FH is also the best looking truck on the road.”

The new FH gets durabrite polished aluminum wheels, chassis infill, mirror arms & heads and white side skirts, which contributes to its stunning overall look. Its white side skirts also includes a custom wrap portraying the initial days of the company. The impressive 8-inch bore, stainless steel and twin exhaust stacks are all custom-made by Adrian at Truckmax in Wisbech.

On the roof, ten extra lights are mounted and courtesy of Kelsa is incorporated on the cab front lower panel. Besides these, Kelsa lower light bar featuring seven LED markers is fitted to the front bumper. This machine is mated to a new four axle, Faymonville N-4L-UV 'MultiMax' trailer having two steering axles. It has a hydraulically operated extended bed that is designed to increase the trailer's load carrying width from 2.54 to 3.2 meters.

Interestingly, WPI specified the 'Multimax' with aluminum wheels, which is the first time for the trailer company. According to WPI, the unladen weight of trailer and tractor is 25,250 kg equaling the payload potential of 54,750 kgs.
