Volvo Trucks Makes Steady Growth in Middle East Region in 2015

Irrespective of economic situations in the Middle East, Volvo trucks has witnessed good progress and has announced a sales growth in the Middle East.
The company has also made an announcement regarding its plan to invest in the Middle East by opening a brand new AVI production facility in co-operation with Zahid Tractor in King Abdullah Economic City, Saudi Arabia.
The company's sales in markets like Bahrain, Kuwait, Lebanon and Qatar registered higher growth. Volvo Truck's third largest Market, Oman recorded almost double digit growth.
“The year has been a significant year for Volvo Trucks in the Middle East. The close cooperation that we have with our importers, combined with the excellent range of products with a strong focus on safety and the fully comprehensive services we offer have ensured that we have stayed a step ahead of our competition and continue to set new standards in the trucking industry,” said the President of Volvo Trucks for Middle East, Mr. Forsbergh.
Introduction of new range of trucks including FH, FM and FMX has fueled the growth for the company in the region. All the trucks sold by Volvo in UAE and Qatar are mated with an I-Shift gearbox. The company's sales in Jordan have gone up by 50 percent.
In a bid to offer excellent after-sales service, the firm has introduced comprehensive driver development program, while strengthening its sales financing schemes.
