Apart from being the pulse of a country’s growth, trucking industry has many more usage across different industries and one of them is entertainment. There have been ample examples where trucks were used to create a prolific action sequence and as a matter of fact, Hollywood tops that chart in the global movie industry.

Although, it’s very hard to cover the numerous trucking scenes, we’ve tried to list out some of the most exciting trucking action scenes from Hollywood movies which evoked jaw-dropping reactions and left the audience craving for more.

Mad Max Fury Road - The Storm Chase

For those who like action, Mad Max Fury Road was nothing less than a Christmas present. Packed with adrenalin rushing scenes, the movie created quite a buzz for its graphics. Among the many thrilling scenes, the one with a fleet of car lead by a modified truck with a man playing firing guitar on it was most obsessive one.

In the middle of a desert where the army of antagonist was trying to catch up a fugitive, this modified, massive Doof Wagon truck with the Coma-Doof Warrior plays a flame thrower guitar. The solo rock concert by the blind guitar man hanging midair and the enormity of the truck had people gasp in awe, while staying thrilled on the edge of their seats.

Death Race - The Dreadnought

One of the earliest movies which comes to the mind when talking about speed, racing and zooming vehicles is Death Race. One of the most memorable moment is a particular action packed scene in which the antagonist leashes her modified monstrous weapon equipped truck to chase the running cars.

While the BAB Unit Peterbilt 18-wheel tanker truck (modified into an armored truck) is packed with every possible weapon including guns, rockets, MMG and others, the overall truck design is enough to scare the hell out of people. Although the Dreadnought ends up in ashes, but the monster puts up a great fight with all guns blazing.

Terminator - Arnold Chases the Truck

Apart from being famous for his tuned body cuts, Arnold Schwarzenegger is well known for his role of an alien in the Terminator movie series. The series received many accolades for its breathtaking action scenes and one of them was race between Arnold and his counterpart both riding the trucks.

It starts where Arnold is hanging on the hook of a towing truck and then rams into a fire brigade truck. With nothing available in weaponry, the chase muscles down a few road cars and barricades before Arnold hooks down the villain’s truck into a pot hole, eventually bringing it down to the pieces.

Fast and Furious - The Oil Tanker Heist

Fast and Furious has been one of the most sought after movie franchises when it comes to cars and racing. It’s a fact that there are not many trucks involved in the series but a few of them have marked their presence. For instance, there is one heist carried out in the fourth movie of the series where the robbers unhook one of the three tankers attached to steal the oil.

The things go rough when the truck driver abandons the truck and the vehicle rams into a bridge curve. The action packed sequence ends up with the tankers blazing up and the thief who is none other than Vin Diesel, driving a car safely through a rolling tanker on fire.

There are also a few more stunts involving trucks in next parts like Paul Walker jumping into a prison truck in latest installment Furious 7.

Transformers (Age of Extinction): Galvatron Disobeys its Makers

While it comes to trucking scenes in Hollywood, Transformers can’t be left behind as this is all about trucks from another world seeking asylum on earth and befriending the human race. However, things turn ugly when the a bad truck Galvatron finds life again, thanks to some genius minds on earth and goes hunting the good-at-heart truck Optimus Prime and ilk.

One particular sequence in the 4th installment of the movie is when makers of Galvatron lose all control over it and the machine tracks down the long time enemy Optimus Prime. With hellish aggression, both of them attack each other with whatever power they have and devastate the good looking highway.

The viewers hold their breath when Optimus Prime takes a jump to dodge the bullets and finally confronts the Galvatron. Well, its just one of the many from the series!

Other memorable scenes include the trucking action in Superman and the nail-biting trucking sequence in Deadpool.

Conclusion

Every now and then trucks have found their way into Hollywood movies whether as the main prop or a supporting one, but whenever they appear on screen, the whole picture just crosses the limits and urges viewers to stay put on their seat. It doesn’t matter whether trucks become the cult in a movie or not, they have repeatedly manifested their importance and have offered much needed impetus when things start to become too predictable.
