The annual price hike of approximately 2.5% across the portfolio is necessary to absorb the increase in commodities and raw materials cost.
If you’re planning to buy a new truck from market leader Tata Motors then go ahead with your purchase this month. Starting next year, the same truck is going to cost you more as the market leader is in the process of increasing prices across the board.
All the top trucks from Tata Motors like the Ace Gold CNG, Yodha, Tata 407 Gold SFC, Intra V30, 1412 LPT, 2818, Signa 4221.T and others will cost more.
According to the company, taking into account the increase in the prices of commodities such as steel, aluminium and other precious metals, in addition to higher costs of other raw materials has incited this price hike for commercial vehicles. While the company is absorbing a significant portion of the increased costs at various levels of manufacturing, the steep rise in overall input costs makes it imperative to pass on some residual proportion via a minimal price hike.
The prices will reflect in various customer segments, variants and customization with an approximate increase of 2.5%, starting 1st January 2022. This price hike will take effect across M&HCV, I&LCV, SCV and Bus, based on individual models and variants of the vehicle.
