Launching a product offensive, market leader Tata Motors has introduced all-new trucks that are first in the industry, innovative, and offer an edge in the market over its rivals. The new truck range also complements the already diverse offering that serves the customer's precise needs.
The trucks range from medium-duty, and heavy-duty to all-the-way tractors in the top-end of the categories covering haulage trucks, multi-axle cargo trucks, tippers, and tractors. Fleet operators, individual buyers, and logistics companies will be delighted to uncover these new Tata Trucks that are going to make a huge market shake-up with the technologies, features and alternative fuel options on the offing. The industry’s first medium and heavy-duty multi-axle CNG trucks that are equipped with fuel-efficient gas engines in the segment deliver the lowest cost of ownership, with a driving range of up to 1,000km and plenty of connectivity features. The 19-tonne comes with 20ft and 32ft deck lengths options, while the 28-tonne GVW with a 24ft and 32ft. There are also dual nozzles for fast filling of the CNG tanks.
In the premium, too-end Prima range, Tata has introduced India’s first advanced driver active and passive safety features of Collision Mitigation System (CMS), and Lane Departure Warning System (LDWS) developed with extensive validation, especially for Indian operating conditions. The vehicle also offers additional safety features like Driver Monitoring System (DMS), Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), etc.
The new Prima range also comes with a more ergonomically redesigned cabin offering better driving comfort and with best-in-class conveniences and features for enhanced driver and vehicle safety. These additions are part of a deeper customer connection and fulfilling the needs of driver comfort and safety, especially targeted at long-haul routes. This is developed through in-depth market research and feedback from fleet customers, logistics companies, and drivers.
The new Prima and Signa range now gets a three-spoke steering wheel with mounted controls and Bluetooth connectivity, a 7” advanced HMI touchscreen integrated with advanced connectivity features, an all-new instrument cluster, and an easy-to-access switch panel.
