Tata Motors launches popular 407 light truck in all-new CNG variant

The oldest running light truck starts at an ex-showroom price of ₹ 12.07 lakh, with this new launch, the market leader further strengthens its position in the extensive CNG portfolio that ranges between 5-16T GVW in the intermediate and light truck segment.
Offering more choice to its light truck customer, Tata Motors today introduced the CNG variant of India’s oldest running truck-— the Tata 407. You can now buy this iconic CNG truck that comes with a promise of a higher profit of up to 35% over the diesel variant, and also give you the much-needed respite from the rising diesel prices. The all-new Tata 407 CNG is designed to last longer, offer superior performance and reliability along with lower total cost-of-ownership. The truck is at ₹ 12.07 lakh, ex-showroom with a standard 10-feet load deck that helps with higher load-carrying capacities.
Powerful Engine
The 407 CNG variant is equipped with Tata Motors' tried and tested, powerful 3.8-litre CNG engine that has the fuel-efficient SGI engine technology and delivers maximum power of 85PS at best of 285 Nm at low rpm. The 4.9T GVW truck is fitted with a fuel tank capacity of 180 litres for faster turnaround time and higher productivity. As you can see, the truck continues with the famous semi-forward control design that is made of high-grade steel with safety in mind.
The vital aggregates of this truck include parabolic suspension at the front, also you get a smoother clutch with easy gear shifting. Taking on driver comfort and convenience into account, the cabin gets factory-fitted entertainment and a USB mobile charging port with a Blaupunkt music system.
