Tata Motors Introduces New Commercial Vehicles in Indonesia

In order to cater to a wider customer base in Indonesia and address business needs in a better way, Tata Motors recently launched two new commercial vehicles in the country—Tata Ultra 1012 and Tata Xenon XT D-Cab 4x4. As per an official statement by the company, these vehicles have been introduced keeping the Indonesian customers in mind.
The new vehicles were launched by PT Tata Motors Distribusi Indonesia (TMDI), Tata Motors’ Indonesian wing, at the 2016 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS). Both the light truck and the pickup are manufactured in India and have gone through 25,000 km of trials and tests under various conditions and terrains.
The new launches will be supported by TMDI’s strong customer care program. The program comprises of some good after-sales features such as best-in-class warranty, guaranteed parts supply and 24x7 on-road assistance. Also, customers can access any of the widely spread 119 touch points of Tata Motors across Java, Sumatra, Bali and Sulawesi.
Showing his enthusiasm over the new launches in Indonesia, Ravi Pisharody, Executive Director, Commercial Vehicles, Tata Motors Ltd, said, "It gives us immense pleasure to launch two new generation Tata Motors commercial vehicles here at the GIIAS 2016, including the Tata Ultra light truck and Tata Xenon pick-up. Both vehicles have been designed for the modern commercial vehicle customer with superior performance, world-class cabins, high load carrying capacity and flexible body-load configurations.”
He also added that these new vehicles will not only enhance Tata’s presence further in Indonesia, they will also help bring the latest global technologies to the commercial vehicle market in the country.
Tata Ultra 1012 is a light commercial vehicle that is offered in several variant options suited for different business applications. With a load capacity of 7 ton and deck options of 4 and 6 meters, Tata Ultra 1012 is equipped with a 497 TCIC 3,783 cc engine that can generate power outputs of 124bhp at 2400rpm and develop a peak torque of 400Nm at 1300-1500 rpm.
The Tata Xenon XT D-Cab 4x4 pick-up is a multi-utility pickup with dual cabin and adjustable load capacity. Ideal for all kinds of medium sized businesses, the vehicle can load cargo up to 1,000 kg. The pickup is fitted with a powerful 2L VTT DICOR common rail diesel engine with power outputs of 146bhp at 4,000rpm and peak torque of 320Nm at 1700- 2700rpm.
