Tata Motors Sells 32,954 Units Of Commercial Vehicles In December 2022

The total wholesale is up by 6% in the domestic market
Commercial vehicle market leader in India, Tata Motors has reported a wholesale of 32,954 units in the domestic market, which increased by 6% YoY, in December 21:31,008 units.
The medium and heavy commercial vehicles (M&HCVs), and the trucks 19-tonne and above categories continue to record higher sales. The Intermediate, small commercial vehicles (ILCV & SCVs) and pickup high volume segments are under pressure with slower demand in the market.
The M&HCV sales were up by 34% to 10,885 units, while the I&LCV was down by 11% to 4,548 units. The small commercial vehicles and pickups, the largest category in terms of volumes, decreased by 9.5% to a total volume of 14,827 units. The Passenger carrier segment wholesale is up by 95% to 2,694 units. Tata Motors exported over 995 units to overseas markets in the month, down by 68%.
Domestic sales of MH&ICV in Q3FY23, including trucks and buses, stood at 40,391 units, compared to 33,753 units in Q3FY22. Total sales for MH&ICV Domestic & International Business in Q3FY23, including trucks and buses, stood at 42,369 units, compared to 37,887 units in Q3FY22.
