SML Isuzu reports 9.33% sales hike for May

The well known truck brand, SML Isuzu, has reported a rise of 9.33% in its sales for the month of May. The company has registered a sales figure of 1405 units for this month. In comparison to this, they had only sold 1285 vehicles for the same month in 2014.
As for the previous month in April 2015, the company sold about 876 vehicles as against 911 in April of 2014.
The company's shares are now touching at Rs. 1220 per share. This is about 0.47%, or 5.75 points up from the previous closing on the BSE, which was Rs. 1214.25. The trades opened at Rs. 1235.00, reaching a peak of rupees 1240/- and dropping to the lowest of Rs. 1215.25/-.
Last week, the shares touched a maximum of Rs. 1254.25/- . At present, the company resides within the cap of 1765.54 crores. The company's 43.96 percent of the shares are owned by promoters, while 18.46 percent of them are owned by institutional shareholders and the remaining 37.57 percent of the shares are with non-institutional shareholders.
SML Isuzu is one of the nation's leading commercial vehicle designers. It was formed in 2010 from the Swaraj Mazda corporation. It is a joint venture between Isuzu and the Sumitomo corporation of Japan. The company operates with its headquarters in Chandigarh. Besides trucks, it is also a well known brand for ambulances, police carriers and water tankers. It has a manufacturing facility in the village Asron, Punjab, where it assembles all of its products.
