SML Isuzu Registers 38% Profit for Fiscal Year 2016

The Indian commercial vehicle industry now has completely resurged after being on a low for a couple of years and most of the vehicle makers are showing good sales numbers. In a recent market report, major players namely Eicher, Tata, Mahindra, Ashok Leyland and others have done reasonably well in terms of sales during April 2016.

Coming to the recent updates, SML Isuzu, a joint venture between Indian automaker SML and Japanese Isuzu, has announced its Profit After Tax (PAT) for the fiscal year (FY) 2016 along with the fourth quarter performance which ended on March 31, 2016. According to the filing, SML Isuzu registered profit of INR 51.16 crore for FY 2016 compared to INR 36.94 crore in FY 2015. The net growth is INR 14.22 crore or 38 percent.

Talking about the fourth quarter profits, the company’s profit is INR 16.7 crore in the fiscal year 2016 which is INR 4.0 crore higher than FY 2015 fourth quarter earnings of INR 12.7 crore. The company has also made plans to conquer all the lost market in FY 2017 in not only goods carrier commercial vehicle segment but for passenger segment too.
