After witnessing an eventful year in 2016 that also displayed several fluctuating trends, auto enthusiasts are in for a treat in the first quarter of 2017 as well. The Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) has already announced that it will be organizing a show displaying buses, trucks, commercial vehicle systems, accessories, tyres and tubes.
SIAM will be holding the COMVECS Commercial Vehicle Show at India Expo Mart, Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh in 2017. Starting from March 1, 2017, the three-day event will showcase models in various commercial vehicle segments such as mining and construction, vehicles for industrial applications, army vehicles, pickup trucks, coaches, city buses and trucks.
By going ahead with COMVECS, the organization is going ahead with its trend of conducting a commercial vehicle show every alternate year to Auto Expo 2016. SIAM’s objective behind this show is to showcase and highlight the latest advancements in technology, provide exposure to customers and set a platform for manufacturers and customers to come together and communicate with each other. Through the show, manufacturers can also get a better understanding of different user segments.
The commercial vehicle industry in India is the fifth largest truck maker in India and is the second largest bus producer in the world. Governed by Tata in each CV segment and home to other popular brands such as Mahindra, BharatBenz, Eicher, Ashok Leyland amongst others, the Indian trucking industry is slowly moving towards more advanced technology and innovative approaches. Regular expos and shows such as these ware expected to not only impart more education regarding such approaches, they will also open customers’ minds towards embracing newer techniques.
