Ape City

Ape City, the passenger carrier from the company, comes in CNG and LPG variant of BS6 engine. Piaggio promises comfortable riding, superior power and pickup and importantly high mileage for its customers. The engine is a forced air-cooled 230 cc-power with multi-plate wet type clutch and constant mesh gearbox. The CNG variant maximum power is 8.85 HP @4700 rpm with 14.8 Nm of torque. The LPG gets slightly higher 9.52 HP of power @4500 rpm with 17.65 Nm of torque.  

Both these vehicles get hydraulic telescopic shock absorber with helical compression spring with damper at the front and rear. The steering is handlebar type and drum brakes hydraulically actuated internal expanding shoe type. The GVW of CNG and LPG variant is 722 kg and 691 kg, respectively with a seating capacity of 3+ drivers.

Ape Auto DX

This is a slightly higher and wider body passenger version of the three-wheelers with the diesel-only BS6 powertrain. The key highlights of this auto rickshaw include a powerful diesel engine that gives higher torque for better pickup and greater speed. The constant-mesh gearbox is equipped with 5+1 gears for smooth driving. Piaggio promises lower maintenance on this rickshaw for its customers to earn more every trip.

The Ape Auto DX gets a single cylinder 597 CC naturally aspirated, water-cooled, direct injection electronic fuel injection engine. It comes with 9.39 HP of power with higher torque of 23.5 Nm. The Auto DX is a bigger rickshaw than the regular ones and hence gets higher GVW of 780 kg with a payload of 540 kg.   

Ape Xtra LDX

Piaggio claims Xtra LDX is the most reliable 3W in India, which now gets the most modern BS6 engine. It is built keeping in mind the variety of load carrying needs of small transporters to enable faster speed and quicker delivery at the last mile.

This cargo carrier variant comes in diesel powertrain with all the critical attributes for a strong auto with higher pulling power. Considering the stringent and rigorous operating conditions, the Ape Xtra LDX engine gives higher torque which is useful in climbing flyovers in a city or even stepper rural roads. 

Equally important is the superior ground clearance, which helps in smooth drive even on rough and rural roads. All key features include a durable aluminum clutch, 5+1 gearbox with lesser fatigue even during long hours and higher speed at lower RPM. Piaggio promises lower maintenance costs for this popular cargo 3W with the aim of more profits to its owners.

The Ape LDX gets a 599 CC single-cylinder water-cooled 9.4 HP of power engine with higher torque of 23.5 Nm. Its GVW is 975 kg and the payload of approximately 510-520 kg, which is reasonable for small transporters' needs.
